My name is Lisa and I am a hoarder. A memory hoarder.
This sounds pretty harmless, like I'm a collector of memories, who has an almost photographic memory and a mental catalogue of moments in my life, right? No. The sad truth is that I keep all sorts of items that are a physical reminder of an event or special day. I keep birthday and Christmas cards (even get-well and thank you cards!) cute stocking stuffers, escort cards from weddings, gift tags from presents, and somewhere, the cards from my wedding. Boxes of mementos and..... It's just stuff! No rhyme or reason, just one-off trinkets, cards with meaning to me and mish-mash clutter to everyone else.
I still need to find a way to properly deal with the cute little animals that I kept from my Milestones Bellinis that are less a plastic elephant or giraffe, but more a reminder of a great night of laughter and bonding, or a celebration of another year of being 25 (I've had a LOT of experience being 25!) BUT here is a beautiful way to keep your wedding cards. Wedding cards designs have really stepped up, they are BEAUTIFUL and the personal messages inside are even more so, so why not consider giving them a lovely presentation all of their very own?
How to make a Wedding Card memento that will take your breath away!
A thoughtful and gorgeous way to preserve the best wishes and hopes for your future that your closest and dearest bestowed on you!

#TBT Wedding Edition
Throwback Thursday is awesome! Celebs post old-school pics that remind us of days (and hairstyles...and fashion.... sometimes original faces!) gone by. So what better day that #TBT to dig up some of our favourite celeb weddings, a marital blast from the past? Please check back with us every Thursday to see what we dig up!
For our first TBT......
Chrstina Aguilera has done it all: fresh faced Teen-Genie, greased-up and Dirrrty in her XXXtina/Stripped days, a bawdy Lady Marmalade and a flirty pin-up girl... But here she was, almost ten years ago, when she got married to music producer Jordan Bratman. The wedding was gorgeous and opulent, and she looked absolutely lovely. While the marriage itself didn't last, her wedding will live forever as an example of decadence!
Christina and Jordan tie the knot!
I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeves when she ties the knot with her current fiancé..... And I hopehopehope there's a feature in a glossy mag when it happens!

Wanderlust Wednesday
What do you get when you combine one loved-up wedding couple, a stunning location and a camera in the hands of a pro with an eye for the extraordinary? A case of wanderlust, and a whole lotta feels!
Junebug Weddings chose their top destination wedding photos of the year and they are stunning! This collection will take you to far-off locales like Indonesia and Australia, romantic holiday standards such as Italy and France, and introduce you to the beauty of Iceland and to some stunning views right here in Canada! It's a worldwide journey covering lots of ground across the globe and if ever there was an ode the the destination wedding, this is IT.
A picture might be worth a thousand words, but I'm pretty sure these would be worth an immeasurable amount of sighs and swoons...... Now, let's get travelling - no passport necessary!
Love Across the Globe!

Hand Me That Envelope!
I am hopelessly in love..... with wedding invitations. Call me old-fashioned, old-school, old-timey - but I feel a surge of excitement when I get a wedding invitation. There's a lovely feeling that comes from being invited to one of the most important days in a person's life, and for me, there's something that is so beautiful, so magical - so promising! - about that thick envelope with all its gorgeous bits 'n' bobs inside..... A visually stunning invitation can act as a tease to the big event; the colour theme, the design and patterns chosen for each element of the invitation package, the fonts of the lettering, the finish chosen for the card stock, even the fonts chosen - these are all little hints about the couple as well as what kind of celebration they have in store for us. There's something so collaborative, creative, and ultimately gratifying for a couple, this process of sitting down with a pro and brainstorming, expressing ideas, pulling inspirations and at the end of it all, having a gorgeous little teaser they can send out to hype their nuptials!
Feast your eyes on these thirty stationary companies that create great little enveloped works of art - and they're Canadian, all across the country and potentially in your backyard!
Wedding invitations are a sweet detail that can set the tone for your big day. Enjoy the opportunity to make a bit of a visual spectacle of it - and get your guests excited and maybe even a little impatient for your wedding!
