Confession time: I LOVE to ignore gift registries. Don't get me wrong; registries are a treasure-trove of ideas that you know will be a slam-dunk, and when it comes to an actual wedding gift, a fistful o'cash is never a bad idea. But, what about gifts for the VIP and A-list friends and family in your life? You know, the people in your lives - sibling, favourite cousin, bestie - who you know as well as you know yourself (sometimes even better!), the very special people you want to spoil with a completely personalized and heartfelt gift. Well, I couldn't wait to share a great segment I saw recently on CTV's 'The Social' that trades in the registry and money envelopes for some standout, stellar ideas!

I love the idea of a gift that the happy couple will have forever. Gifts or experiences that you know are right up their alley, but would be things they might not think to buy for themselves. Let's be honest, it's just us talking, right? After a wedding, couples might be feeling a little not-flush, monetarily speaking. And they might very feel GUILTY spending money on themselves. Yet, something that celebrates new super-couple status is so darn cool.

So imagine if you gave the cinema buffs in your life a movie date night a month with gift certificates. Every month your ears would be ringing as they sing your praises!

What about those foodies who love to experiment at home in their lab, otherwise known as the kitchen - a personalized cutting board will have you in the kitchen with them as they cook together for days to come.

Sometimes, you just have to let yourself think outside the box when it comes to what you put IN the box! And at the end of the day, who wouldn't swoon over a gift straight from the heart?!
Wishing you a day as limitless as you are~
